FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance are reservations available?
Reservations are released on the 1st of each month at 12pm for the following month. For example, July reservations become available on June 1 at noon.
What allergies and dietary restrictions can you accommodate?
We do our best to accommodate many dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, nut-free, peanut allergies, shellfish-free, and fin fish-free. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate allium allergies, cooked alcohol or cooking oil allergies, or multiple complex combinations. Please note any allergies or restrictions in the "Special Requests" section when booking. If you’re unsure, feel free to email or call us before your visit.
Is there a dress code?
We do not have a dress code. You’re welcome to join us in whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Where can I find parking?
We do not offer valet service or designated parking, but there is ample free street parking nearby. Seattle traffic can be unpredictable, so we recommend giving yourself a little extra time to arrive.
Are reservations available for just desserts or drinks?
Reservations at Atoma are reserved for guests planning to enjoy a full dinner. If you're hoping to stop by for drinks, dessert, or a few snacks, we’d love to host you in our bar or Solarium. These spaces are available for walk-ins and are perfect for a more casual visit.
While we can’t reserve these areas in advance, we do our best to accommodate guests whenever seats are available.
Do you accept large parties?
Reservations for up to 6 guests can be made online. For larger groups, we accept parties up to 8 Tuesdays through Thursdays outside of a partial or full buy-out of the restaurant. Reservations over 6 must be booked directly through us at reservations@atomaseattle.com.
Are children welcome at Atoma?
Atoma is designed to be enjoyed as an adult dining experience, and we kindly encourage guests to plan their visit accordingly. We do not offer child-specific accommodations such as high chairs, booster seats, changing tables, or a children’s menu.
If you choose to dine with a child, they must be included in your total guest count and noted in the “special requests” field at the time of booking.
To ensure a comfortable experience for all guests, children must remain seated and quiet throughout the meal. If a child becomes disruptive to other diners, we may ask your party to step outside or, if necessary, conclude the meal early.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Yes! We reserve a limited number of seats at our bar each evening for walk-in guests. Please note that walk-in seating is never guaranteed, and availability can vary significantly from night to night.
Walk-in seating is available only for guests 21 and older and is limited to parties of one or two.
During busy service periods, we may limit or pause walk-in seating to ensure we can provide the level of hospitality and experience our reserved guests expect. If no seats are available when you arrive, we are happy to add your name to our waitlist and will provide an estimated wait time whenever possible.
Every evening at Atoma is different. While we cannot guarantee walk-in availability, our team will always be transparent about current seating availability and expected wait times when you arrive.
For a guaranteed seat please be sure to make a reservation!
Is there waiting space if I arrive early?
Our waiting area is very limited and our bar is small, especially on weekends. We kindly suggest arriving right at your reservation time. If you arrive a few minutes early, we’ll do our best to seat you as soon as possible, but arriving 30 minutes or more ahead is not recommended.
Can I use my phone or take photos during my visit?
Photography is welcome, but we kindly ask that you avoid flash, video recording, or live streaming to respect the experience of fellow guests. To maintain a comfortable atmosphere for everyone, phone calls are not permitted inside the restaurant.
What is the atmosphere like at Atoma?
Atoma is known for its lively, vibrant energy, and it's part of what makes dining with us special. We play upbeat, vibrant music and aim to create a fun and engaging environment. Friday and Saturday evenings are our busiest times of the week, and between 6pm and 9pm, there is very little we can do in terms of overall noise control. If you prefer a quieter experience, we recommend visiting us early in the evening on a Tuesday or Wednesday. If someone in your party is hard of hearing, please let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to seat you at one of our quieter tables.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes. Due to our limited seating, cancellations within 48 hours or no-shows are subject to a $50 per person fee, no exceptions. This fee helps support our team who prepares for each service with care. You are welcome to transfer your reservation to a friend or family member if you cannot attend. Changing the date is considered a cancellation.
How does Atoma make celebrations special?
We believe a night at Atoma is a celebration on its own, and we love being part of your special moments. We’re happy to add a candle to any dessert ordered for a birthday. If you’d like to pre-arrange something extra, such as flowers, a champagne toast, or other thoughtful touches, you can explore options on our celebrations page.

For the health and safety of all our guests, we do not allow dogs on the patio, except for well behaved, certified, service animals or service dogs in training.
Is Atoma accessible to guests with limited mobility?
Atoma is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. All entrances to the building require climbing a full flight of stairs, and there is an additional step to access the patio. Due to safety concerns, we do not allow the use of personal or temporary ramps.
We recognize this may present difficulties for some guests, and we deeply regret that the structure of our historic building limits our ability to provide easier access at this time. If you have specific questions or needs, please don’t hesitate to reach out we’ll always do our best to support you however we can.
