For Oscar, hospitality runs deep. Raised in a restaurant family, he grew up surrounded by people who took pride in creating memorable experiences and making others feel at home. His passion for wine began in his early 20s at Bin on the Lake, where conversations with Washington winemakers first sparked his curiosity. That interest led him from hands-on winemaking at W.T. Vintners to an immersive experience in France at Clos de Caveau, and eventually to refining his sommelier skills at John Howie Steak under Daniel Pendelton, where he earned both his Introductory and Certified Sommelier titles.

At Atoma, Oscar brings warmth, knowledge, and a belief that wine is a shared adventure meant to connect people. Outside of work, he can be found grilling with friends, snowboarding at Stevens Pass, or relaxing with a great bottle and good company.
